Pawpaws
Pawpaw is a native tree of Indiana, and they grow the largest edible fruit native to North America. Pawpaw's are all the rage for those in the know; their exotic fruit is the new trend! We are often asked if we have a pawpaw PATCH, GROVE or ORCHARD. We have a healthy beautiful pawpaw orchard. As long as you get your hands on these tasty treats, it doesn't matter if they came from a patch, grove or an orchard!

Pawpaw's are a naturally organic fruit since it resists almost all pests, and it experiences very little browsing by wild animals. No need for chemical sprays! This is right up our alley since we pride ourselves on sustainable farming practices that preserve the natural beauty of the landscape while producing the finest quality pawpaw's. Pawpaw's grow on a very pretty, small tree that looks like it belongs in the tropics.

Pawpaw's have a very tropical flavor, typically tasting like a mix of mango, banana and pineapple with a very creamy texture. They are rich in nutrients and sky-high with vitamin C.
In recent years, pawpaw's have developed quite a following with fans traveling across several state lines to get a taste of this unique fruit. Pawpaw's are difficult to find in a grocery store because the shelf life is only 3-5 days. The flesh may be removed and frozen for up to a year.

Pawpaw is very versatile because its unique flavor and creamy texture make it perfect for jelly, pies, cakes, barbeque sauce, tacos, rice bowls and even gelato! Pawpaw can be swapped into recipes that call for bananas or mangos. Come pick a pawpaw with us!
We have 157 pawpaw trees showcasing 27 different varieties in our orchard. Join us for a pawpaw tasting! Fruits mature during September and October.
